has anyone else signed up to Telstra Clears new Home Plan deals within December last year and still not connected?
I myself signed up on the 7th December just under a month and still no phone line/broadband connected, everytime ring call centre get to talk to someone that puts me through to another team but in the transferring to the other team I get hung up on.

Is anyone else having difficulty being setup?

I called them in the weekend to followup my parents switching over to HomePlan, the person I spoke to said they didn't expect such high demand and they have to change each plan over Manually, also said the turn around time at present is 32 working days

yep they are already on TelstraClear, it was Big Back Yard which sold them originally to join TCL
I hate to say it but I'm sure if I gave Telecom a call they would have them signed up rather quickly

Most ADSL connections take a 2-4 days to process subject to availability on Telecom / Wholesale.

Transfers from alternative carriers with Broadband similar, around 2 days.

I expected bout 10 working days to get everything up and running, not like 3x that. nzbnw, those estimates was what I was orginally expecting.

I'll be checking my parent's connection tomorrow to see if its been swapped, won't be happy if it hasn't.
Don't want to have to switch them to Telecom but this is def way too long to sort out a plan change.

Plan still hasn't been changed, gave TelstraClear another call and the latest estimate is late Jan / early Feb now :(

Parents have a paradise.net.nz e-mail address, if they switch provider will this address likely get shut down instantly or they just leave it going?

They must have run into some major problems with their LLU service.

My parents have a Paradise address too and were told that they'd have to change to a Clear address, or pay extra to keep the Paradise one active, if they switched to the new TCL plans. Were yours told the same thing?

What happens to my existing paradise.net or Clearnet email address if I am already with TelstraClear?
Any Clearnet email addresses you had before taking broadband will be the same. If you want to keep your dial-up internet plan in addition to broadband then this is an additional charge.

Paradise users will need to change their email address to Clearnet. If you want to keep your existing Paradise email address or dial-up internet plan in addition to broadband then an additional charge applies.

Bugger, I'll have to find out what the fee is

It's pretty poor to charge extra to keep your email address. I think that most Paradise email addresses are old now, but as I said in another thread, most companies offer a loyalty discount, not a loyalty surcharge!
