I apologise if this question sounds stupid.

Is the Nokia 1100 mobile sold by Vodafone NZ dealers (i.e. Dick Smith etc.) locked to Vodafone New Zealand? I am travelling to Europe and may want to put in a sim card from another network there.

I didn't think so but I came across this page http://www.ascent.co.nz/ProductSpecification.aspx?ItemID=121547 which says "**Note: This phone is designed for the NZ Vodafone network. Sim card not included. **". So thought it would be good to check first.
