Hi everyone, I'm in kapiti on cable and have lost my connection about 45 minutes ago - posting this from my tethered iphone.
I've tried everything I can think of, resetting my routing gear, powering off modem for a couple of minutes.
All lights are active on modem - just no action.
Anyone else experiencing problems tonite?

Cheers
Murray.

have you tried doing a trace route?
Firstly, to your modem, then your TCL gateway and then geekzone.

Let us know how that works.

Tracert 121.73., can't remember the rest of the numers. Anyhow got past my gateway 192.168.5.1 and no furthur. Got an n1 vision with live display showing no Internet available. When reset cable modem it says on LCD no modem available, then back to no Internet available. I'll ring them during the day if it doesn't right itself overnight.

Murray.

Can you connect your modem directly to your computer and access the internet from there? I assume you do not have any lights flashing on your cable modem? The standby light should be off, while the only light that flashes should be a pc activity light.

First step is to always try connecting to the modem, 192.168.100.1

If you can't connect to this you know the problem is within your network.

Hi guys - thankyou all for your replies and suggestions - I have just checked their website - they are experiencing a technical glitch in the cable network.
