I have a Telstra Clear Digital STB. We sometimes watch the decoded output, and sometimes let the TV tune FTA channels straight off the cable if another channel is recording.

Recently we've had a number of incidents where the output just goes black and the sound disappears for a few seconds. Often when the signal comes back we have subtitle captions on the picture. This seems to last for a few minutes and then they go away again. 

I'm pretty sure it's not my Samsung LCD as the other night I turned on the teletext subtitles and actually had two separate sets of captions displayed in slightly different parts of the screen at the same time.

This has happened just about every night for the last week or so around 8 o'clock.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm dreading having to have this conversation with the TC "help desk" as I could already write a book on their stupid suggestions and crap service.
