Not even sure who makes it to go looking for sim unlocking information, has anyone already done all the hard work and found a place that will do codes etc for it, or is it not that simple?

I was told they are locked to certain VF sims that will do the homephone service.

I have bought one, then later saw an ericsson GSM gateway come up on TM for less. I want to use a 2deg sim in it to put it on a crap monitored alarm that dials numbers when activated.

But the SIM for wireless home phone will only work in the wireless home phone box

the 4G systems boxes are not locked, I used a prepay SIM in mine until I got sick of the poor Audio quality.

The SIM's have an applet internally to detect IMEI ranges or certain manufacturer IDI think, the only other thing I ever got it to register in was this old Siemens module. I never tried it in a hacked phone with a changed IMEI. (if such a coveted thing actually existed!)

John, can you confirm if the new Panasonic Cordless model is SIM locked?

Yeah, I dont want the wireless home phone service, just a cheap way to get something dialing out when an input it triggered.

Super, A couple of friends have the white boxes and are a bit dissatisfied so I'll refer them to those.

They would like the "what if" peace of mind" though in case they later stop the service and want to put it on their boat (with a prepay sim inside)

Got it here and it works fine with the 2 degrees simcard.

How do these handle making a dialplan for them? The post dial delay is monster on it. I dont think it was that long when I was playing with one with a VF home number sim in it.
