On my last billing cycle I instigated a 1gb data plan as I would be away on holiday and wanted to use my phone as modem, all worked well. I was in a somewhat remote part of Coromandel and got excellent 3g by the way.
On my return I cancelled the monthly roll-over of the 1gb account and asked  to be  reverted to the 100mb account. I did this on the 1st day of my billing cycle, big mistake! It should have been done on the last day of the old month.
Now, I accept that it was my mistake and Vodafone has charged me for a new month of the 1gb plan but guess this, they still cancelled it as per my request and dropped it back to 100mb.
I rang and said would they either credit the charge or supply me with the 1gb data but they refused so I have had to pay for something I will not get.
I have been with VF for years, always keep my account in CREDIT.
I put up with lousy 2g reception and no 3 g reception.
Now this.
:-(

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Don't painc on next months invoice as this months has already run there will be a credit for the Month you did not use the 1 gig plan

The billing system does the credit automatically

You jumped the gun a bit

John

I don't think he jumped the gun. I think the help desk failed to explain how things work.

Don't blame the customer on this one.

Its like if you change a voice plan part month the next month will have a part credit for the unused plan and the part month charge for the new plan and one month in advance for the new plan

I understand that the CSR should have explained this but if he had waited till next month he would of seen the credit for unused data plan for 29 days

How could he possibly think of waiting a month to see what happens when it's his money on the line, and he sees the broadband allowance gone down? The CSR should have told him straight away "this will be adjusted in the next cycle".

They did, but when is that new..  Plus he hadn't received the bill yet so technically he hadn't been billed for it. When the bill arrived, and he had been charged, well different story.

I have received the bill, it shows the charge for the new month. The CSR said it could not be credited as it was one day into the new cycle.

The credit can't show on this months invoice as its gone pass this months bill cycle date,

Trust me wait for next months invoice and you will get a credit for the 29 days of the 1 gig data plan

and you will see part months charges and 1 month in advance for the 100meg plan

Hope this clears things up

John
