I recently upgraded to the Lightspeed 2MB plan (2M each way, 10G limit). While it worked fine for the first week or so it began to become quite lousy lately. Constant web sites timing out, having to try the URL more than once, poor speeds etc.
Called TS and they checked my line and said the signal quality was very poor and would dispatch a tech. Actually this makes sense and my cable picture has been rather poor lately though I can't imagine what happened.
Out of interest I checked the signal level myself and noticed it was down to -16dBMv (should hover around -9 I am told). For those who have cable modems connected to a router I wonder if you could share your signal levels. Just put the following URL into your browser (unless you have changed the IP address of your modem)
http://192.168.100.1/signal.html
