Common sense is not as common as you think.

Huh, mine went out for a bit as well until I rebooted the modem. And I'm at Orcon. So maybe a more general ADSL network glitch.

It's still out here, been down for about 30 minutes now. Modem gets DSL connection but no PPP. Would that indicate something between the local exchange and TCL?

Edit: I see two more replies snuck in there. I wonder whether they're being "reactivated" on an ISP-by-ISP basis or something.

Edit 2: And we're back :)
I see from gtx's Twitter that Xnet is back too.

Yep back. Very annoying, must have been a network glitch that was ISP wide.

Was this proven / worked out what it was?

There's a hint that this might be related to Telecom services.

We still have no official update, however this effected by the looks of it multiple ISP's and there is one common factor, so without having an official update from Telecom I can only say the issue appears to be related to them.
