Have the TCL TV package using there Digital STB (ADB). Anyway have always have had to have the volume of the TV set to about 3/4 of its max level. So we can hear the STB volume.

But when we put on a DVD etc the volume comes through on the TV way to loud.

Can the volume of the STB be adjusted via settings in its software. Or are they preset at a low level.

Thanks

Have you checked you have the volume turned up full on the set top box?
There are no other settings (other than adjusting via the volume up/down buttons)

The STB box sits at about 3/4 as well.

Put the volume up on the set top box to full.. not 3/4.

Then you won't need your TV as loud... and your DVD's won't break your ears.
