Just got this email from Vodafone:

--------

As a Vodafone Ultimate Pack customer, we've some great news. By 1 July 2010, we will give you a whole lot more data - and we wanted you to be the first to know. We can't say any more for now, only that you can look forward to getting some more data bundled into your existing broadband plan, at no extra cost. We'll be contacting you shortly with the full details.

It's just another way for us to say thanks for choosing Vodafone.

--------

So let's put this in Laymans Terms - Vodafone is giving out free data to it's customers (or at-least some of them) - Cheers Vodafone!

Very keen to know how much more "a whole lot more" actually is :) Very welcome in any case, my allowance gets used very quick anytime Steam has a sale on. I still have 3-4 games I haven't played yet because I have to ration every month, even using the double up option.

Hi all.

I got the same message with my latest bill.
Currently I have Ultimate Pack Red with 20gigs per month allowance and from the 16th June it will increase to 30Gigs at no extra cost.

Hmmm.

I changed from ultimate to easy pack about a month ago. ( As we ditched sky and I no longer saw the value )

Is this offer only avilable to existing customers? or will it be open for everyone?

The interesting thing is that I got the same email, and in MY Vodafone it still says Im on ultimate pack, but Im actually only on easy pack and get billed $80 per month with 1gb of data.

Excellent, I will change back to Ultimate on my new billing cycle. Thanks for that

Just to clarify all new and existing customers will be able to take advantage of this deal. There's no time limit in which we have to switch to this plan to get the deal?

How do you know it's an extra 10Gb? On their emails to customer they say "We can't say any more for now, only that you can look forward to getting some more data bundled into your existing broadband plan"?

If you read their post it says they got the message with their latest bill. Not the generic email that everyone was sent.

Yeh I got a PDF called "insert" as part of the monthly invoice email.
Its clearly stating an increase of 10gigs....  wife loved it (which means I will have to get her own laptop now)!

Actually I did read their post. I was merely commenting on the fact that VF seemed quite hush-hush about their offering but then at the same time they are telling some people what the offer is?

I guess this change is just for the current plans on offer and not for our good old broadband 2 plan we got from ihug, 5GB for $50?

I don't think those old Ihug packs get increased.

This is pretty awesome. Before I get the email can anyone tell me if the add-on packages have changed?
