Does anyone know if the above service still works?

There are old locked threads on Geekzone going back to 2007 saying it does (at 20c per message).

The old threads say txt 'R' to 901 to activate service and 'R' to 301 to deactivate.

Well I txt 'R' to 901 and got a txt message confirming the service had been activated and my email address is 64<my mobile number>@sms.vodafone.net.nz.

But when I send a test email I get a bounced email back saying that email address is unknown.

Can anyone shed any light on this?
