Hi,
I've been with TCL for about 11 years and until about 6 months ago was happy with the service. I play WoW a lot and recently the latency to Los Angeles has been hitting around 310 ms, which was trying my patience (it used to be 180-220). After some recommendations from friends, I just switched to Xnet today.
Unfortunately, it's been terrible so far. About two minutes after changing my modem's authentication settings, the connection completely dropped out. After rebooting the modem I logged into WoW and was disappointed to find that the latency was sitting up at almost 380 ms. After maybe 10 minutes of use, I found that HTTP seemed to have "frozen"; I could still play WoW and use MSN but could not access any sites. A minute or two later it came back to life but was very slow (it's even failed to load some of the CSS here on Geekzone). It appears to have frozen up again while I've been typing this but will presumably come back again (otherwise I applaud you for being able to read this post!)
Surely this can't be normal, so I'm wondering whether there might be something I've done wrong, or maybe a setting I've forgotten to change. I've removed the Clear DNS entries from my router and have rebooted all equipment/computers. Is there anything that springs to mind?
