hello guys/girls

Wonder if anyone can help me. I am now using the n70 which i must say is a great phone, too much for me to go on but anyhow heres my problem.
previous to the n70 i was using a nokia 6600 which sent sms perfect first time never a problem, and very little times it had mms messages pending in my outbox telling me to resend etc.......... but

with the n70 almost half of my sms i send they go to my outbox telling me to resend, it seems rather odd to me and i was just wondering if any other n70 users have this problem or if somebody could let me know what this is about, its just an annoyance my text messages taking twice as long even thrice to send, where as my old phone was great.
Cheers people
:)

By the way how do u add frames around peoples questions and queries when you want something to be aimed at them based on their questions etc??

look at number of my posts i am new

to quote, just find the post you wish to quote, and look along the same line as the persons name, you will see 'posted on 12-FEB-2006 19:01' then further over will be some buttons, the last one is 'quote'

It generates the following tags

[ quote ] Bob Smith: blah blah blah [ /quote ]

but without the spaces between the brackets and the quote /quote bit.

Like this:

Bob Smith: blah blah blah

I have a brand new Voda N70 and haven't experienced this problem at all

It is running V2.0539.1.2 dated 19-10-05 RM-84
you can compare this to your handset by entering the code *#0000# just like you would dial a number

Firstly thanks to disenchanted as i think this will now work as you told me where to find the tabs. thanks

Hello SNicolle,
Mine is running the exact same except you say you have RM-4 at the end i have RM-84 if that makes any difference. Mine was also purchased from VF. It has me stumped, ive never heard of any mobile which does that. It doesnt affect the phone, just means i have to go to outbox and resend which is more time consuming then it should be, a couple of seconds each time adds up :)

Cheers

Hmm, N70 is RM84, you're right. I think there's something wrong with your phone's firmware. I also used N70, and never had that problem. Bring it to MFR i suggest.

it is rm-84 apologies about the typo

have you altered your message settings?
mine read like so:
msg. centre in use: Vodafone NZ
receive report - no
message validity - 24 hours
message sent as - text
preferred connection - gsm/umts
reply via same ctr - no

do you live in a 3g coverage area? how is coverage? is it 3g or gsm coverage when you are texting?

hi guys,

thanks for the replies, my message settings are the same except for receive report mine is selected as yes.
im not sure i want to take it to MFR as i have read some not so good feedback about them or the service. not to worry i guess i will cope with the fault, im sure problems wont get worse.....or will they.

cheers :)
