I received a letter from TelstraClear yesterday saying they were changing the way they give AA Rewards.
In short instead of 1 point for every $15 spent it will be 10 points for every month where you spend $79 or more.
This means if you spend less than $79 you will no longer get points. Also if you spend more than $150 you will get a maximum of 10 points not more.
I have only a 10GB cable modem plan with no phone for $54.95 p/m which gave 3 points now but will give none from now on. The letter suggests one add extra services to spend more than $79 to not lose AA Rewards.
I wonder how many others out there spend less than $79 so will lose their AA Rewards. Also how many spend more than $165 so will only get 10 points and not 11 or more as at present.
With my 10GB cable plan becoming 20GB from next month for a modest price increase that's great - TelstraClear giveth and TelstraClear taketh away.
