I have just got back from a holiday in Australia, and while I was the I bought a Vodafone USB modem.

I would like to be able to use it here with Vodafone NZ, but I understand it is locked to Vodafone AU.

The modem I bought is http://store.vodafone.com.au/handset-vodafone-usb-modem.aspx

Does anyone know if it will work here, and if so, what I would need to do to get it unlocked.

It will work fine but odds are you will have to get it unlocked first. The vast majority of devices sold in Australia are all operator locked.

Phones can be unlocked from a webpage on the Vodafone Australia website, I'm not sure what the process is for data devices, your best bet is certainly to contact Vodafone Australia and ask.
