I currently have a situation where i have moved units (same physical location, just am now in 3rd unit instead of 2nd). and since this has occured i have had a remarkable drop in sync speeds on my modem. I was with Slingshot for 18 months at my previous unit and was getting 17mbit sync speeds with a relatively similar speedtest results. 3 months ago i moved to the new unit (is larger in size so better for us) and instantly had issues with the phoneline and internet speeds... it took 2 months to get the Issue with a buzzing phone sorted as well as getting physical connections of 5.5mbit... i was told by slingshot that there was nothing that they could do about this, and that was pretty much the end of it.. within a week of this happening i had a Vodafone sales person to the door asking about my internet and speeds / plan that i currently had.

he said "well on vodafone you can get AT LEAST 12mbit where you are here, so that wouldn't be an issue" after i told him about what had been going on.... so i decided that yes i would join and give it a go....


The connection date came... and well wasn't i let down... first of all the speed was no better than i had with slingshot (pissed me off) AND then had my flatmate bitching because he could no longer sign into FFXI getting timeout issues.. so i called the voda tech helpline, and did talk to a nice girl there who got me to do tracerts etc which did show there were issues on the line...

This seems to have corrected itself without any intervention as she called me the next night saying there had been no progress, yet my flatmate was able to connect to his game.

Regarding the Sync issue, they told me that what i was getting was the best that i could physically get at my address and went on to tell me about distance from exchange / wiring etc etc..... that would of been fine apart from the fact i have had my internal wiring checked multiple times as well as having @ least 5 chorus techs out to my place to sort the number of issues i was having...

What channels can i go down to try and get this sorted because well im at my wits end.
