This is probably double posting, and apologies in advance;

But specific to the WRP400 is it possible to use this as a wifi access point, or disable all router functions such as DHCP etc without any effect to VOIP.

In theory I believe VOIP works independtly of the router functions so my question is more how do I go about doing so?

How about disabling DHCP, using it connected to a primary router/modem as per this guide:
