Hi

Could a few people do me a favor and test if you can access (not just look at home page as that usually works) but navigate a few pages on these sites and tell me if it works and what sort of internet connection you have and where in NZ you are

www.passiton.co.nz
www.mattsummerfield.com
www.hotcodedesigns.co.nz
www.autosport.org.nz

The problem we are seeing is pages are often only partially loaded or don't load at all and traffic is routed Via Australia (when client and server are both in NZ). Ping always works even with large packets

All works fine from Christchurch/Telecom Xtra Broadband.

Went into several pages on each site and viewed photos etc.
No detectable problems.

Ok well this has me stumped, It has to be a fault with this one customers connection, Whats strange is as far as we can tell it only effects access to a small range of sites/servers - one class c subnet as far I have tested.

What does a tracert to some of the problem websites look like?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Do Orcon route through Telecom to get to Telstra normally or do they buy a peering from Telstra direct?

Yeah definitely looks like a Telstraclear routing issue.

Is it business adsl or residential adsl, static ip or dynamic? If dynamic turn off the router for awhile and try get a different ip address.

Either way log fault with the appropriate help desk.
