I have just bought a brand new HTC Wildfire in the UK, and we are moving back to NZ in January.  I had just assumed that this would work in NZ, but now I have grave concerns this may not be so - or at least only work partially.  Could anyone give me any advise on what I can do and if you think this phone will work with some re-configuring?  Any help is very much appreciated.

Just make sure the phone is not SIM locked and most features should work

Thank you so much, the more I started to read, the more worried I was that all sorts of things wouldn't work on it.  I will make sure it is unlocked before I return.

This is where I get vague - I just read on the vodafone help page there might be call drop outs, txt delays .... and since I have never owned a smart phone before, I was wondering if there would be problems with the internet etc.  Again, I am embarassed to say I am a complete novice, and have really no idea - I will learn quickly I suppose.
