Hi all,

Having a bit of an issue (well more like a big issue) with my Voda branded Huawei EchoLife HG520s modem/router. Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and if there is a solution.

Has been working perfectly fine today until this evening when the 'internet' light suddenly disappeared and I lost internet connectivity. So did a soft reboot to try fix it, but no luck. Power cycled it - again, no luck. Odd thing is, the ADSL connection light is solid, it finds the line signal and syncs, but I still have no connectivity.

LAN/WLAN all works fine. Have checked all settings, did a factory re-set and re entered settings. Have tried all the isolation tests, tried it with new filters/new phone line and on all the different phone jacks throughout the house - no luck.

Pulled out an old DSE modem from the draw and was up and running in a minute or so (though no wifi on that).

Trawled the net and can't seem to find anything on the issue, besides a few people asking the same question but with no replies.

Syncing at 15600 down /730 up, appears to have no trouble syncing.

Re-occurring error in the system log:

1/1/2000 0:3:4> ADSL link = Showtime
1/1/2000 0:3:6> netMakeChannDial: err=-3001 rn_p=804bea00
1/1/2000 0:3:7> MPOA Link Up
1/1/2000 0:3:10> ppp:ch<0> Down

Sorry for the long post, but would be interested to hear if anyone has struck the same issue and whether they fixed it, or the router is just buggered.

Cheers!

UPDATE:

Plugged everything back in this morning and now it works? (So far, only been about 10mins).

And its down again, and up again after a re boot.

Would still appreciate if anyone has any issues with the HG520s to share.
