I don't know how this is going to effect property values, most people don't even know what these are when they see them.
Usually a round circular box on top of a lamp post, I would have to say the least eyesore tower you can get.

Can you put it in Greytown so we have perfect coverage here over christmas.

Another example of NIMBY. If not it would increase property value for people would look at their mobile and realise there is no signal there - so why bother buying a house in that area?

If Vodafone want a location then they're more than happy to plonk a giant tower in my backyard if they want - I swear these NIMBY folk are the same sort of people who dig up conspiracy theories about vaccines and wear tin foil hats to stop the government from reading their thoughts.

Speaking of which, I heard if guys use tin foil around their family jewels like underwear then it protects you during the airport X-Ray scan's.

i'm sure i could put together a research project to show that tin foil wrapped jewels result in an increase of testicular cancer.  hell, i could probably prove an increase in ovarian cancer in males too if i really really tried ;)

(taking off my Vodafone hat here)

When I rented and purchased a house I always made sure there was good mobile coverage in the area as I also needed this for my job when going on call

I would usually put these people at the front of the list of people that complain about lack of coverage at home and expect their IT department to come up with a solution.

Funniest one I have had was a manager insisting we should give her a phone from another operator that we did not have a contract with (and according to their maps had no coverage in the area either) and we told her we can't do that, but she would not listen to the plebs and all she got from upper mangement was divert your mobile to your home land line or don't live in posh areas that don't get coverage because you don't want a tower in your front lawn.

ah, these are probably the sort of people who wouldnt think twice about deploying one.  They're just little boxes - surely they cant be anything like a giant cell tower!
