I'm new to ADSL 2 and noticed my  VF FS/FS package gives me 1045 up and 18489 down - is this right?  I thought FS up would be 18489 too, but it seems limited to 1045.  Is this the 'maximum' upstream that ADSL2 offers or is there something wrong at the VF end?

Thanks

A

ADSL stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line.

Asymmetric means speeds are not the same in each direction.

ADSL2+ has a MAX of 24mbps down and 1mbps up.

"FS" just means whatever your line can do. In your case it's the stats you list, upstream on ADSL "asynchronus". 1mbit is about the max for upstream on ADSL2.

Thanks for the replies, I knew it was asynchronous, I just wasn't certain how asynchronous it should be.
