Interesting, thanks rscole. I can get to the 2nd last node, 202.126.195.251, but I can't get to the server. Very weird.

Ok I worked it out. The IP of the server was on a blocking list for peerblock, software running on my PC.

TelstraClear is working fine. Thanks for your help everyone :)

You folks do yourselves a disservice by using this kind of software.

Just yesterday I was contacted by someone that asked why Vodafone was blocking Geekzone. I was confused (and rscole was nearby so will remember my comment) on why would Vodafone do that, just to be told 30 minutes later the user found out he was blocking our host with PeerBlock.

If you are using a software that blocks access to hosts you have to know that if anything is not working you should first do your homework and make sure you haven't done it yourself. Then look for explanations, like "why is [ISP ABC] blocking [site XYZ]?"

Your subject clearly says "Routing issue with TelstraClear" when it's not the case at all.

Occam's Razor folks. If there's an easy explanation for something, then that's usually the best one.

Yeah, my bad. If you could change the thread title that might be good - just add NOT to it or something.

To be fair the simple answer was the TC was having some kind of routing problem, as i've observed occasional random behaviour when I can reach some websites but not others.

On a related note, can someone on TCL please try www.bestbuy.com and see whether you get there? I go straight to "access denied", and the Clearnet DNS is returning a TCL IP address for that site.

freitasm: Blocked for me as well...

Please report the fault www.geekzone.co.nz/fault.asp

I decided to check in the forums first so as not to log it as an ISP fault if the issue was at my end. But since it's affecting Telecom too, should I still log it since it's not a TCL issue?
