Just curious, Vodafone seems to be HUGE and has it's hands in ma lot of countries. I have noticed that they can be very competitive in low value but high volume countries and very expensive in low populated countries.

I just wonder where abouts Vodafone group sits; are they a high value quality provider or an average player?
Why I ask is because they cannot be all to every country and for example in NZ they are doing okay quality wise, VF seem to only be doing okay everywhere else...

This probably doesn't help re quality of service but this report states that Vodafone is the 8th most valuable brand in the world beating out the likes of Toyota.

Interesting.

Vodafone is an English group listed on the London Stock Exchange, you are right SteveON, the Vodafone Group is HUGE.

The LSE is not the only listing, I believe they're also listed on NASDAQ. They have a value in excess of 92Billion pounds sterling.( third largest company on LSE ).

They also own 41% of Verizon in the States and can be found through-out Europe. I think they are India's #1 choice for Telecommunication, ( I could be wrong there ), but they're in Asia/Pacific and Africa.

By operating various arms of their company in the individual countries as if they were separate companies under the VF Group umbrella each company is able to meet the conditions of the country it services, each company is independant and responsible for it's own profit / loss, however many of the decisions ( even for VFNZ) are still ultimately controlled in the UK as I understand it .

VF is a big player in the communications industry but it's value / quality of service is somewhat dependant on it's local management at the end of the day.
