While sipping on a beer @ The noises today and being pleasantly surprised at the speed of the internet I decided to start a new thread logging different bays around the gulf and the speeds you can get.

I am on the VF network using a K3715 Modem. Unless otherwise stated I am inside the boat, so behind a fiberglass hull and roof.

Please feel free to join in, any network. If you have a BGAN terminal, then I want to come on your boat!!!

So anyway.....

I'm pretty sure VF have a cell site on Motutapu (900/2100) which they turn on over summer for people just like you, so you should get OK reception and speed from the Noises. Waiheke has a few as well, so you could be getting something off Oneroa or Onetangi.
