I would like to commend Vodafone for the new 'Double Back' promotion for those customers on Supa Prepay.

However, and I have said it before, where is something for the on account customers?  I suppose the corporate stance is that you've got us locked in so who cares - pay your monthly fee and shut up.

Thanks Voda, you guys are the best.  Yeah right!

It's a dumb promotion anyway, which effectively just lowers the calling and text rates closer to what 2degrees charge, just in a way that makes you spend first to qualify.

How about an any-network text plan on par with the other networks Vodafone?

For $10 I get 500 texts to anyone (On my On-Account corporate phone). For $12 on XT I would get 5 times as many! (2500) (Or 10 times at the moment with their current promo)

On 2degrees I could get 2000 for $10, that is 4x as many as I get with Vodafone for the same money.

Any my prepay personal phone I can't get an off-net text plan AT ALL.

While it is better than nothing it is not great.

You get double your feb spend back in march but you can only use it to call within NZ.

You can't use the free credit for txt or data and it is only valid for 30 days and to top it all off you have to register to get anything. Lame

Myself and my entire company will be jumping ship as soon as our contracts are up (very soon) - can't see why I should sign for 24 months when I get nothing out of the deal. Plus issues with CSRs and faults.... voda needs to wake up - they are becoming the telecom of old!

Agreed. Telecom is much superior now, in terms of network and technology, customer service and value.

What a confusing promotion... If I was On Account with VF Like I used to be I'd jump ship. Which is why I did!

Like I said on the other thread: another underwhelming announcement from Vodafone.

I think this is just a very confusing way of making them look cheaper to try to stop the hemorrhaging of customers to 2 degrees among the non-stupid auckland teenager usage groups.

And its calling credit too. Guess the problem is that noone is dumb enough to pay their prepay rates to make calls so they have to get some action on that part of their network before it siezes up from disuse.

They lost me from long time plan user to prepay shortly after the whole phone number migration thing got opened up. This meant I could keep my phone number when I moved to Prepay, or indeed now any other company.

When I was on a plan and got to the end of the term I was about to sign up for the same again when I noticed that if I'd walked in off the street and done the same thing they would have given me a free phone. When I asked about this they said it was for new customers only. Nice.

How much do you think VF hamstring themselves with their MVNO agreements (inc 2degs)?

Thru these contractual alliances are they preventing themselves from undercutting their own competition? (Particularly in the centers where 2degs network carries their own traffic)

The sad thing is that you have to explain it.. Any promotion that needs to be explained is crap. you have to click through and read the secon paragraph to understand that its only calling credit. But then you read that you have to register as well...

Its kinda like $349 worth of value for $10 or something similar...
