Is this available for use on both Mobile Broadband sticks and on Handsets?

Also,   a bit bizzarre that I can now get 2GB for $50 on prepay,  yet if I go postpaid open term it costs me $61, and even if I sign up for 24 months it still costs me $51.05.

Hmm, 1GB less than 2d's? Although this is national, not just in the four centres.
(Which is why, I assume, you've only gone for 2GBs instead of matching 2ds)

Its better than previous offering but I don't like the 30 dyas expiration... seems 2d's have better value prepay plans IMO.

Is this another "Sorry on account customers but... We don't care about you" deal?

Not trying to be a fanboy... But the above poster is right about 2degrees being better value with 60 days and 1 extra GB... But the VF offering is only prepay, come on VF treat your On Account customers better than this!

better value provided you don't want your mobile broadband to be very mobile - which kind of defeats the purpose of it.  The 2D pricing only applies in the 4 main centres.  Anywhere else and it is mega expensive.

Next escalation will be for Telecom to do something better, then 2d, and around we will go again... hope your backhauls are up to it....!

Back haul is all good Vodafone NZ now has fibre to 100s of cells and 100s more to get fibre in the coming months also just before Christmas 2 brand new NSN RNC's were added to the network so that is 8 live RNC's. We also have many dual carrier sites live. Speedtests on the live dual carrier network over 18mbps.

I agree - I don't like the expiration either. I would be prepare to pay more (or get less data) for 6 or 12 months validity.

I used to get 180 days validity with Vodafone UK pay as you go...

It would be nice to see plans that offer a dedicated amount of capacity, rather than a limited time offer. My contract has been open for over a year as I wait for a suitable plan with sufficient data. It seems VF would prefer I was on prepay.

VF has has 3gig on smart plans (and there forerunners) for over a year....

Now they've made a better datacap option available to prepay customers I'd be expecting that 3gig 'promotion' to turn into something a little more certain....

Dont care if I pay more if I leave civilization. IMO telecom and vodafone should do deals that target the cheaper to provide areas as well.
