Is anyone having issues today with Vodafone 3G in Botany/East Tamaki?

Iphone4 keeps losing connectivity, and unable to send txt/mms messages, can still make phone calls?

Keep needing to switch phone to airplane mode, and then back again to reset network connection?

Have checked handset, and currently latest version 4.2.1 installed, no updates available.

Any assistance on how to rectify would be appreciated.. Thanks.

I've got a Samsung Galaxy S, I live just across the road from botany town centre and was driving through huntington park this morning on the way to work, I noticed my 3G signal bars have disappeared when I looked down on my phone briefly, not sure for how long though, when I got to work (in Auckland city) it was fine, not sure if this is the same issue you experienced...

Hi,
I'm sitting in East Tamaki now (Harris Road) and my Android is not having any issues.
Have you tried resetting the phone (hold finger on power button for a few seconds).

Cheers,
Ian

I am still at work, but will check when I get back home, if there was an issue, its probably resolved by now. Also you might be using a different cell site on Harris Road than when I was driving past Hungtington Park/Guys Road

Move from your current location buy about 500m to 1km does the issue still happen

Hi John,

I popped out, down to Botany junction, doesnt seem to be happening there, but still happen back at my residential address.

Have restarted the phone, no connectivity for mail or internet browsing, works fine with 3G turned off.

That proves the issue is not on your handset but your serving cell in that location

Call 777 a few times on 3G in the location the issue is happening (hang up just after calls connect)

The reason for this is to make it easier for the support team to isolate the cell having a issue

Then call 0800 921021 and select mobile broadband and log a ticket with this support team giving them the times you called 777 so a trace can be done and the cell ID can be pulled from this for faster checking

Thanks John
