Had a visit tonight from them , guys in Telstraclear shirts, who say I am getting fibreooptic cable in my area which will be twice as fast. he usual 'not available to the general public yet'.

I assume I won't actually see increased speeds in reality?

Are Telstraclear the only ones doing the initial rollout of fibreoptic as they claimed? They siad it would be fibreoptic to the box but copper into my house.

$105 per month for a 50gb cap with local telephone.
$150 credit towards Telecom cancellation even tho it's normally only $99.

And 'Free Broadband TV (30 channels) including Sky Sports.

Now I assume they are being a bit sneaky and they actually mean Sky Sports news?

Is there another thread about this? If not, opinions welcome.

I've been very with my $120 Telecom 40BG package, not had to ring them once and happy with speed.
