Anyone else on vodafone in north auckland having issues with the internet connection failing literally every 5mins? it's been happening all week came right for a day and now it's gone to crap again. I'm really getting sick of the reliability of service from vodafone as this is nowhere near the first time this has happened.

Are you sure it's not your modem?

The last time I experienced this kind of issue my modem was on its way out, bought a new one and everything came right. Try and test your connection with a different modem if you can, it will give you a good starting point to help you diagnose the problem rather than blaming Vodafone right off the bat.

Disconnections can be caused many things. Faulty modem, incorrect configuration of modem, faulty jackpoint, faulty filters, internal wiring, extension cables, too many jackpoints in use if you don't have a centralised splitter, wireless disconnections, conflicting channels of wireless devices in the house or even coming from your neighbours, line issue outside of your premises, cabinet issue, broadband port issue, network issue, wrong profile. You get the idea. So stop being ignorant and call your isp, take some initiatives to try and rectify the problem. Don't take the easy way out which is to come on here and whine or blame isps. Good luck on getting your issues sorted (or changing isp) :)

Tried calling vodafone, once a few days ago and again last night. Both times I gave up after waiting on hold for 30mins.

Did an isolation test last night still had the problem.

Problem only seems to occur in the evening and at night.

Could be the modem I guess, don't have a spare to test at the moment. We have had the same modem for a few years and it has worked perfectly fine, would of thought if it was on its way out that it would be dropping out consistantly rather than working fine for weeks and months and then suddenly getting problems like this that last a few days then dissappear again
