We ported one family member's number from Vodafone last week. This person did not receive printed invoices - only those SMS from Vodafone saying how much to pay.

How are we going to know how much to pay for the last invoice now that the number was ported away? Will they send a printed invoice this time?

I think you either get a bill in the mail, or by email (I always got one or the other), and so you should still get a final bill by the same method.

No, she never got bill via email, and the paper bill stopped a couple of years ago...

Sounds to me like the bill is going astray somewhere - meaning you may never get the final bill - would be worth phoning customer care and asking for a copy to make sure you don't get stung for non-payment.
