Just had a TBox installed and now find that whereas before we got a full screen TV picture, we now get reduced
size pictures on some channels. We didn't have this problem with the old Digital Cable Decoder. Telestra "Help" said that the aspect ratio is normally on 16x9 but I could try 4x3. This cuts off the top and bottom of the picture rather than each sides with the 16x9 ratio. Can this problem be rectified or are we stuck with it please.?

Post a picture of what you are seeing and what each device (Tbox, and LCD) are set to.

First question is what sort of TV you have, a 16:9 or 4:3?

If you have a 16:9 TV and have this correctly set to 16:9 and the decoder correctly set to 16:9 all 4:3 content (channels such as CNN) will have black bars on the right and left. This is perfectly normal and how it's supposed to be.

If you have a 16:9 TV and had every image fullscreen with your old decoder you had it incorrectly configured.

Perhaps it was incorrectly configured when the supplier installed it. Thanks for your comments.
