Hi
My parents have a TBox and they want to be able to watch both Saturn and FTA channels on a second TV  (the main TV has a built in freeview tuner).  They are currently using the analogue output from the Tbox so that they can watch Saturn on the other TV.  However what is the easiest way (preferably lowest cost:))of also splitting the signal from their normal TV aerial so that they can get both Saturn and FTA channels on the other TV from the one RF cable.    I know whatever we do with analogue feeds is only a short-term solution until such a time that the analogue service is switched off.
Cheers

Hi there, our specialist read in on this post, this is his response:

If the customer obtains a?Splitter they could do the following:

    1. Plug TV Aerial on roof into input on Splitter

    2. Plug output 1 from the splitter?into RF In on their T-Box

    3. Plug output 2 from the splitter into RF In on their Main TV

    4. Leave the RF Output from the T-Box plugged into their other TV Set

How this will work:

    • If the aerial is UHF/VHF combined, it will allow their other TV to tune into T-Box output, Analogue TV via Aerial, Freeview HD via Aerial

    • If the aerial is UHF only, it will allow their other TV to tune into T-Box output and Freeview HD via Aerial

    • If the aerial is VHF only, it will allow their other TV to tune into T-Box output and Analogue TV via Aerial

At this stage TelstraClear does not support RF output

Since this customer has it all wired up now, they just need to do steps 1 to 4 and it will work.? They may need to re-tune the other TV.

Something like this?splitter should work:

http://dicksmith.co.nz/product/L4272/right-angle-2-way-splitter

http://dicksmith.co.nz/product/L4270/2-way-plug-type-splitter

http://dicksmith.co.nz/product/L4671/two-way-metal-tv-antenna-splitter

Cost range is $14.99 to $16.99 (not incl cables)

The customer needs to check they have the correct cables to work with the splitter they buy.
