X-lite 4 on OpenVFX outgoing call is OK, incoming call goes into voice mail.

The account is enabled OK and I can make outgoing calls no problem, but incoming calls run into voice message directly.

Test network connection says:" You are connected to the Internet through a firewall of type unknown NAT.

Anyone can help? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

I went to " account settings" "Topology" and check "Discover public IP address(STUN)" as the firewall traversal method.

Server address put in as stun.wxnz.net

Now the error message says: You are connected to the internet through a firewall of type Symmetric NAT???

Any idea?

And did it work?

This isn't an error mesage, it's the STUN server correctly identifying your firewall configuration and hopefully ensuring that your SIP traffic will correctly transit your NAT firewall.

Nope, incoming calls are still running into voice mail box directly.

Okay, the issue is local... we are sending the invite to your IP but it appears it is not getting back to your Xlite client, ie the SIP natting is not working, you could try a port forward to your IP address on your PC UDP port 5060... set a static on your PC so it will always be the same.

It is NAT indeed as you pointed out.

I have to set DHCP spoofing/half bridge to by-pass double NAT, then port forwarding 5060 to get it working.

Now the problem is that If I make an outgoing call everything's fine. I can hear the other party and he
can hear me.
If I get an incoming call, I can hear the caller but he can't hear me.

In the X-lite forum this seems to be a very common issue but without any good solution, nothing related with Xnet VFX , sounds like a mismatched codec problem to me. I might try to convert a Cisco 7962G SCCP phone to SIP to get around this.

Thanks again for your help!
