Since arriving in UK three weeks ago I have been unable to access my emails on Webmail as I have done in the past. No advance warning of this from Telstra which is really poor. I have set up a Gmail account and am still in the process of notifying friends, family, banks and utilities etc. Thank goodness for my netbook this holiday.  Def changing provider when I get back to NZ

Could it be related to the anti-phishing measures about to be implemented, it shouldn't really considering the dates but maybe? Did you receive an email containing the following (this is not the full email):

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: SENDING PARADISE EMAIL FROM OVERSEAS

Consequently, from 11 July 2011 you will no longer be able to send Paradise
email if you are connected from an overseas location and using email software
such as Outlook, Microsoft Mail, Apple Mail etc. The change should not affect
your ability to send and receive Paradise email from within New Zealand. If
you experience any difficulties sending emails from within New Zealand after
this date, please contact us.

When overseas, you will still be able to receive email normally and also send
and receive email using Paradise Webmail

Alternatively, you can use other webmail options such as Gmail, Hotmail and
Yahoo to send
email.

(I received this email 10th June)

Don't know. It would be surprising. Have you emailed them to ask in general about any restrictions? Are you getting a specific message or screen when you attempt to navigate to your webmail address and login?

Lastly, they do offer a separate global roaming service (through iPass) so if you get really stuck that would be a simple solution to get you in and take care of any outstanding business (@$24.95 per hour), and redirect everything to your gmail account.

Actually, don't email them, call them on the phone so they can ID you and talk about your specific account. After that if you still need the vpn they can set that up for you on the spot.

Thanks for replies. I am on Clear not Paradise. Didn't get any warning email. I can get ino Webmail page but there is nothing on it. Had friend check my webmail from NZ - no luck there either. Just hope they will get around to replying. There's going to be 10 weeks email waiting for me when I get home!  Meanwhile G mail it is.
