Following the Steam slowdown on TelstraClear, has anyone else noticed iTunes timeouts?

Sometimes you can't access the iTune store, sometimes it will return search results but won't go to the item you select, other times it will try renting some content for a while, to then coming back with a "sorry can't complete your transaction" and suggestion there may be problems with your Internet connection?

I wonder if TelstraClear is having problems communicating over international links and causing all these slowdowns lately?

I don't use iTunes but I work from home so I'm using my TCL cable link all day (I'm in Christchurch), over the past couple of days I've been noticing a lot of slowdowns to websites in the US and Australia. At first I thought it was my router but when I tested Geekzone, Stuff and the Telstraclear websites they loaded immediately. It doesn't last long, maybe 5-10 seconds at a time but it can happen a couple of times per minute and it starts to get pretty annoying. I haven't noticed it since lunchtime though so maybe it's been fixed...

Notice the same thing on my cable in chch after 11-12 at night.. Might be why they are planning to flush the nodes?
