I got a call 3weeks ago from from telstra saying I was behind in my bill so we made a agreement then to pay a certain among each week till the amont due was paid.
The first and second week I made the payment and this week I paided double the amount to get the bill out of the way as fast as possible
When I arrived home yesterday my internet was disconnected
I waited till today to ring i explained the situation and that I have made payments as agreed to every week since my call from them
The guy on the phone just said that I was ment to pay every week which when asked can he see my payments for the last couple of weeks he said yes so again and again I told him I have made payments every week so there was no reason for disconnection. He just said again about paying every week after 50 mins of being put on hold and repeating ourselfs the call was disconnected (Felt like they were sick of dealing with me).
So I rang back this time I got through to anther department and this time they had no record of the agreement made with them to pay off my bill weekly and told me that it was cut off due to me being behind in the full amount I ended hanging up as I was about to abuse them.

I have been with telstra for the past 7 years and have allways been on there top home plan (currently on there 25mb/s which really is expensive)
I think ill pay what I owe and sign up to another ISP I'm sick of waiting 45min to even talk to anyone and when you do you end up more and more confussed?
And I really don't think its fair to charge me a reconnection fee either as I have keeped to my end of the deal
Any ideas on a good ISP similar to telstras 25mb/s 120gb a month plan

... your end of the deal started when you signed the initial agreement, which meant you paid monthly and didn't get behind

Fair enough comment
Earthquakes cost alot of money to everyone involved
But at least I was getting it up to date now
Why not just cut it off 3weeks ago why now
I just think its a bit unfair and as usaul I can't make sense of their customer service team.

What an all-too-familiar story. Try calling their Collections department instead, you might have better luck there.
