I have a good connection to the exchange with a connection rate of 12969 down and 888 up Attenuation of 21.5dB and noise margin of 12.1.

Speedtests are usually around 10000kbps down, in the last week I'm lucky if I can get 4000 down. Also torrents usually sit around 1mbps now little over 100kbps.

I've done the usual modem / router restarts and isolation tests.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a reduced speed at present?

Not so much a speed issue, but I've been having a problem accessing particular (seemingly random) domains. They just won't load. Then fifteen minutes later they work.

Without any more details such as your location and connection type it's impossible to help but my first pick would be that you've a) on a ULL red network plan and b) been cabinetised so need to move your connection back to a Telecom Wholesale one which will c) improve sync rates to somewhere in the 14Mbps - 18Mbps vicinity.

My connection is through telecom wholesale. As the red network is not available in my area.

I'm actually moving house soon. Within the same suburb, but the new house is in the red network. So I'm going to sign up for naked broadband. Hopefully the speed picks up when I move to the new house.

If you'd check the Telecom Wholesale you'd be able to tell us if you're covered by the new MSY/AK cabinet. If you are it'll explain your loss of sync speed until the ISAM is switched on.

Always pays to for anybody who notices a sudden drop in speed to check there first.

Your cabinet is part way through being installed, currently your MPF will be cut over to the cabinet but your DSL signal is still coming from the exchange so you'll suffer a hit in performance until your DSL is cut over to the ISAM in the cabinet which can range from a week up to a couple of weeks depending on how many lines there are in the cabinet.
