TrueNet tests show Domain Name System (DNS) responses for all TelstraClear probes were very slow, resulting in poor webpage loading times. 

[The following chart shows the DNS response times of all TrueNet volunteer probes grouped by ISP over a 12-day period.] Most ISPs provided DNS responses within 20-30 milliseconds, but TelstraClear DNS response was taking over 1000 milliseconds (1 second) during the affected period;

Our TelstraClear probes are mostly Wellington and Christchurch cable connections, but one 100Mb/s cable and a DSL probe in Auckland with the same issues suggests it was a national problem.
 

I guess the 100 Mbps probe is my connection...

There has been ongoing loading issues with websites on my Telstraclear Cable in ChCh for a while (few weeks... ) probably explains it....

TCL seems to have had DNS issues off and on for several years and despite recent announcements about changes to its DNS services nothing has changed.

Just fix it TCL.....
