Head up to anyone out there on Xnet looks like their data usage system is playing up again.

I'm on the old Torrential plan, have logs showing all data usage between 2am and 8am yet its all been accounted for as standard data and I've been charged.

Might pay to check your own usage states.

Have sent an email to their helpdesk.

Have a read of this thread - it relates to similar issues I notied about a month ago.

There certainly still seem to be anomolies - I'm on Fusion, so data is either standard (billable) or local. Some days there is almost zero local traffic and higher standard traffic than I would have expected.

The strangest issue I am seeing though, is on several occasions where I have downloaded system updates, they have come down as local data, but the quantity of data used is at least 3 times the amount downloaded -i.e. a 100MB update downloaded shows as 300-400MB of traffic.

I seem to be having this issue too. Incorrect on peak, and no data at all showing as off peak since the 11th.
Currently up to 9.37GB on peak usage, which is usually about how much (peak) gets used in an entire month.

The firefox usage meter really needs fixing, would've noticed this a lot quicker had it been working.

I was having this issue as well, however, it "auto corrected" and is working fine for me now. See info in this thread,

So there is a problem with Xnet's traffic counting at the moment for some people.

Mines been like this for at least the last five day's, no update to their tracking system yet. Contacted the help desk they said it's with the operations team fingers crossed it gets sorted sooner rather than later.

Have just gotten home and checked the router. The total amount of data transferred is also incorrect, along with the on/off peak totals.
Router says 15.26GB have gone through since the start of the month, whereas Xnet says 16.4GB.

I'm on the River plan and my accounting looks suspicous i.e. I'm using more than I can account for

I'll check my modem and router but from memory it doesn't provide accounting that would provide the neccessary detail

Since almost all our usage is from one PC can any recommend some monitoring software for Win7 that will do this ?

Mine is still broke, got an email from the helpdesk saying they had to contact the hardware supplier for support, looks like its not a unique occurance. Helpdesk did say it would be fixed by the next billing cycle. Its been ten days since I first notified them and still no resolution.

On a similar note, fairly certain we hit the data cap today, as things have slowed to a crawl. Hard to tell without the Firefox usage monitor going (hint hint, please Smile).

Normally we'd get an email at 80% and 100% usage advising of this, but not this time...

Their website appears to be tracking data correctly again, but they still havent gone back and fix the incorrect data allocation for the last month or so. 12 days and counting...

Well I installed Netlimiter Pro a few days ago

Results after a few days are interesting !

Date|Wxc stats/|Netlimiter stats

24 Aug|687Mb|235Mb

25 Aug|2366Mb|943Mb

26 Aug|1030Mb|514Mb

Looks like WxC are billing me for double what I use

I'll continue to monitor over the weekend then call them for a discussion

BTW I'm on River plan

I've been having a couple of issues with my account data meter this last week or so as well.

For the last 6/7 dats, by local usage has been the same as my international usage on the usage graph.

I also have a huge spike of usage from yesterday, I can account for around 8-10 GB (Steam updates), however the monitor says 25-28GB, which I know is plain wrong

Didn't have any issues with accounting previous to this

Would be nice to hear something from Xnet, clearly its a problem, would be nice to know what they are doing to fix it and that they arent going to screw over their customers with inaccurate bills....

Another day of Xnet meter showing twice as much as I have used.

Come Tues if I don't see some information from WxC on this issue I will log a call.

What I/we do not know yet is whether these inaccuracies transpire into what is billed but one can probably assume that it will .

If that occurs it will take on a hold new light...

We are working on this issue,  hope to have past torrent data tracking issues resolved today.   I've escalated a number of other accounts to the Operations team for investigation.

Feel free to PM me the details of your data usage problems.

Thanks
Cameron
