Tried to reboot modem/router but to no avail. I can ping clear dns but no sites are accesible. Weird that my 2talk still working. Could be some local are still accessible. Anyone having issue? Using my voda phone atm. Hoping all be good later this morning....

Had an issue in Miramar too. I couldn't access any sites despite multiple reboots of modem & router. The cable TV was working fine though

Same here in Mt Vic - was playing around with my router at the time before it happened (opening ports etc for VNC) and all of a sudden it went down - thought it was something that i did lol. Quite relieved to see it back on this morning!!

Same in Johnsonville, it went down around 11.15pm or so last night, but was back up this morning. I figured the weather had caused a power cut, and the cable network's dependant on power.

I'm considering getting ADSL as a backup to cable, in case of emergencies. Though I have mobile internet if I don't leave it at work, so it's not a huge deal.

I use a Cisco router with built in USB for 3G modem. Could leave the USB modem always there for automatic failover, but that could potentially run into my allowance so I rather just plug it if really needed...
