Hi there,

With Xnet open VFX, I use X-lite 4 no problem. Weeks ago, I got a Cisco 7962G IP phone. i put SIP image on and it refused to register with open VFX server.

The error code is as below:

"JVM: %REG auth failed: ack timer".

Just wondering if anyone can check form server end to see if the phone registering packets hit the server or not? I can PM my phone number id anyone can help.

Cheers.

Cut your losses and get a new phone.

Cisco's SIP software was only designed for using with CM and is incredibly fickle when it comes to running a phone on a different network segment. Google is your friend when it comes to (possibly) ever getting it going. You'll need to set NAT and external IP settings in the phone and also probably some port forward rules.

GoodSync. Easily back up and sync your files with GoodSync. Simple and secure file backup and synchronisation software will ensure that your files are never lost (affiliate link).

You probably can get it working but as Steve says may take a bit of work with settings to make it work inside your LAN setup, send me a PM with the details and I will take a look.
