Are there any game servers that are counted as free data seeing as Recoil is gone?

I need one for Xnet, recoil use to free when it was running.
But since they were taken down by xnet I dont know of any free steam data servers.

I beleive the Gameplanet servers are consider local and thus free for Xnet customers, same goes for the GPDownloads site.

Watch this space :).  Running a Steam server is a pet project of mine, and hopefully we should have one before too long.  I can't be more specific currently, unfortunately.

Oh I will be watching this VERY closely.
Can I ask if it is going to be a content or game server or both?

Yes, and then the discussion changed to Steam on Xnet.

Please read ALL the discussion before posting.

It will be a content server, there are already game servers with unmetered traffic, see list here :

Uhuh well aware of that. Well before the discussion changed to steam it was confirmed that game servers exist, and then it was confirmed by Frio that he's working on getting a Steam server deployed. His question was stupid and had already been answered. Why don't you read ALL the discussion before posting in a thread
