Just got the info from one of my suppliers:

Built in HSDPA would be really handy! And being HSDPA and not just UMTS means it is fairly future proof!

Sounds good... but after my weekend episode of failed UMTS VMC card... I reserved some view on built-in communication device (evdo/UMTS/HSDPA)... what if the device itself failed? what can one do? I know it'll be mPCI based and potentially just swap the faulty one out and in with the good working one.

Internet is my backyard...

Hmm, that's like saying you won't go for built in WiFi or Bluetooth. What if those devices fail?

I already stop using my built-in WIFI on my laptop as it is crap, it crashes the system and sometimes just drop out of wifi connection totally and unable to reconnect unless reboot. And this is actually acknowledged in Intel's KB for the particular wifi chip i have.

So i'm using Dynalink's 802.11G card that Tony gave me, and it works great. I still favour PCMCIA card option as if it breaks, then it is easily replaced.
