I hope someone can help me with this it's driving me nuts. My K3805-z vodem which I use from home for my internet connection has worked well for the last couple of months until it began to periodically drop connections. This increased in frequency until I could only open 1 web page between removing and replacing the stick to reconnect and eventually it wouldn't connect at all. I thought this might be related to XP as my win7 netbook has over the same period experienced no problems. I took the opportunity to re install the desktop pc with Windows7 and for about 3 days it worked perfectly until beginning to drop connections with the same pattern ending up not connecting at all.
I'm pretty sure its not a coverage problem because it worked fine for a couple of months and for the fact that the netbook still never drops the connection or really slows even when the signal is down to one bar.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Does the same thing happen in another location? It might not be your PC / Vodem

What version of VMC software have you got installed?

Call 0800 921 021 and they can take you thru some basic fault checking steps

Thanks for the reply John
I've  never tried to use it away from home but use a cable extension to hang the vodem in the window and as I plug the cable between the netbook and the desktop it consistantly works perfectly on the netbook and not on the desktop.

I'm sorry I don't know which version is installed how can I find this out ?

I've tried ringing vodafone twice but they lose interest when they find out it works on one the netbook, not an issue with the network or vodem in their view.

Thanks for getting back to me John I really appreciate it. I spoke again to Vodafone and they suggested I download the latest mobile broadband software which I did but it didn't help. I connected by opening the software and clicking connect .. well it said I was connected but there were no bytes being registered. Also it now fails to display the icon on the toolbar with the bars of reception which on the net book I also use is the best and quickest way of connecting. Not via the vodafone software..
Any ideas gratefully accepted
