I'm having a few issues (slowdowns and timeouts) when accessing google related sites, I.e. google.com, gmail, analytics and the google ad servers which in turn slows down any sites that use analytics or google ads.
Here's some info:
- Tested on multiple computers Windows XP, Windows 7 and OSX and tested on I.E8/9, Firefox, Safari and Chrome so don't think it's an OS or Browser issue.
- DNS Servers are set to 203.97.788.43 and 20.97.78.44
- Started at 5.30am on Friday 23rd September (Nothing has changed on PCs/network prior to this)
- Ping pre 23/09 = 25msec avg (google.com)
- Ping Post 23/09 = 452msec avg (google.com)
- http get pre 23/09 = 480msec avg (google.com)
- http get post 23/09 = 2,236 msec avg (google.com) - Have done the usual tests
- restart router
- change router
- test connected directly to port on router
I have raised a ticket with Telstraclear, and they reluctantly said that it "may" be an issue with their caching and they would look into it.
So any ideas and is anybody else experiencing this?
Cheers
