I just received a text from +447866049550 and in the details it says message center +31987654321 (do not know what that means?0.o) saying....

"You have won $1,700,00.00 Million Pounds, in APPLE IPHONE Ref No: IP171.G. For claims email your name, mobile no. to: ukappleclaims@hotmail.com"

Now I have not given any websites my cell number or anybody else. I did get tricked at the start of the year by a fake Youtube site and learnt my lesson. JohnR helped me with that unfortunate situation.

So what can I do?

I can't block the number because it comes from the UK. Can vodafone do this for me?

I am also posting this text to be helpful to others and make them aware of such scams happening. As with more awareness, I am hoping somebody does not get scammed by these awful people.

Discussion already going on www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=48&topicid=91158

As suggested, ignore and delete it, like you would do with an email.
