i had made an account on the vodafone forum yesterday in which i made some posts

and now today the posts are no longer there and i can no longer log in
says the account does not exist...

im suspecting my account has been deleted even thou i have not made any
violation

i made a post in a thread

"Can't find a plan to suit"

i was in no way abusive
as all i said was i shifted my fixed line / home phone to snap after the
network issues vodafone had last year...
and am paying $117 for 60gb and homephone and that you can add extra $2 a
month for unmetered facebook/google/youtube
and that i have been getting better speeds and havent had any issues and
there customer support is excellent

i dont see how this post is anyway abusive

what annoys me is im still a vodafone customer as i have my cellphone and
vodem with vodafone both of which i highly recomend to people
but after your reaction to the above post
especially since your admin have the power to just delete the post and
send a warning
but instead flat out delete the my vodafone forum account

is eye opening at the least

especially considering the other post was a genuine question about vodem
working on a android tablet
but looks like i found that the pocket wifi hotspot would do the job with
no app/rooting required

i was going to go out and buy one but unsure now
since i now remember why i took my homephone and internet business away
from vodafone

To be fair posting pricing from an opposition supplier on a Vodafone forum isn't all that smart.

If you're looking for a good deal with Vodafone can I recommend that you purchase naked DSL @$65 per month for 45gb (it's that price if you have a vodafone cell phone) and then add the Home phone wireless box for $25 or $40 depending on whether you want national calling - very good pricing.

Yeah, not smart at all. Put yourself in their shoes, would you tolerate someone trying to 'advertise' competitors services on your support forum?

Those kind of comments are best suited for forums such as Geekzone etc.

That is fair enough and I believe a deleted post / message. From the admin would have been sufficient ie a warning not to do that or even a email to say why they had taken that action

Opossed to deleting. The account along with a genuine question

End of the day thou it just reflects poorly on vodafones customer service

Well actually no - it's not poor Vodafone customer service. You were blatantly advertising another companies products & services & that is not allowed, as it's essentially spam. If the admin decides to delete your account for it, that is their choice.

IMHO, it seems perfectly justified in this instance & everyone seems to agree that this is the case, for those that have replied to you.

You may be correct if you have posted more than 50 'good' posts, but it sounds like you had 2 posts against your name and they felt you signed up for the purpose of poaching customers.

I suspect the same policy goes here, if someone with a couple of post to their name violates GZ FUG, they may get removed, but if someone with 500+ post does it they may get a stern warning.

I would have said it was a disscusion since it was in reply to some complaining about paying $160pm and hitting the data cap to then be told by a vodafone rep they should switch to bizness plan which then cost them $358 for a month
to which i responded to in my op

and sure the action they took would have been fair if it was a repeat offence

that said thou the admins on the vodafone forum tirelessy state its not an official forum and its there for  vodafone customers to discuss technical related problems / issues etc  and vodafone admins volunteer to admin the boards in there free time

but meh im letting this drop now

and removing  all business with vodafone to a different  mobile provider
and also informing friends and family that currently still with vodafone and on their last straw about this

Clearly you have joined the Geekzone Forums, to troll about Vodafone here as well. Right from word go, you have done nothing but whine.

Jjnz i wish that was the case but
while i only had 2 posts made 1was the one i mentioned here
the other was a post which was definetly within the guidelines
as it was a question asking if the vodem would be able to be connected to a android tablet or if they had any future plans to do that

since that post and some googling i saw they offered a pocket wifi hotspot device
i was going to go into the vodafone store and purchase one this afternoon but i wont be now

so i fail to see how one question that is fully within the guidelines and one that can
be viewed as advertising  signed up to spam if both had been then fair enough

like i have said thou a better way to have delt  with it would have been temp ban from posting + warning oppsed to just flat out deleting the account

didnt know making a valid compliant was trolling

and yes so far that is all i have done been a reader of geekzone for a while and it is a great forum
i registered as a poster and made the complaint as i know the admins from the vfnz forum use geekzone to such as johnr and that my complaint would'nt fall on deaf ears here

so if you would kindly refrain from name calling richard it would be much apreciated
