Hi All,

Im new to this Geek Zone Forum and need some help

Have a LG P500H Xt Phone (brand New)

I am trying to set it up for the Vodafone Network ( contract not prepay)

Everything works fine apart from MMS, it will not send or receive Pxts / MMS,

We initially had issues with the Internet as well, but managed to find APN settings to fix this,
However all APN settings i have found on forums here, and the setting message you can get from vodafone have not fixed this MMS issue,

Can anyone please help me,

it would be ultra appreciated

I had a similar issue with a second hand LG P500 on 2 degrees.  From the title I am assuming the same thing applies and that your phone was previously used on Telecom.

In my case one of the previously used APN  now unused APN which  was no longer being used had a MMS APN still attached. The phone was selecting that APN to try and send from and of course  wasn't. Once the "MMS" was deleted from the unused APN the phone was left with only one APn to select  and MMS started working.

Sorry if I haven't explained very well but hope this helps.

its now officially driving me mental,

have tried lg, vodafone(phone help, and the message settings via online), Telecom, to try and get it sorted,

I didnt expect everything to work 100% being an xt phone, trying to run it on vodafone, but MMS not going was not on the wont work list,
Ive tried having just mms apn settings, internet and mms combined apn settings, seperate internet and mms apns , ive tried settings in any thread on here i can find, and any other settings I can find online, Im predicting im still missing something, it just seems so odd,

next step is running over it and claiming insurance, and just purchasing the Vodafone version straight, instead....

if anyone cen help please do.....

Some handsets have the option when the settings are loaded they then need to be activated,

This is done on the handset

I have realised how I can clarify my earlier post. Can you confirm that the Telecom mms is deleted?

Hi, Is that an ex-Telecom P500, or the bought-from-Vodafone P500?

Hi

Its originally a Vodafone one, however if you delete all the Telecom APN's and just have the two Vodafone ones it should work fine. I doubt that Telecom have some hardcoded APN's that can't be shown in Android. I've also installed a custom ROM and its a great wee phone.

Cheers

its alive!!!, Thanks Predator and everyone for their help
Can only select one APn at a time, Had to select the MMS APN, Send a pxt, which worked, but got a little worried as now the internet wouldnt work, Re Selected the internet APN, got that gonig again, then thought hope MMS Still works, because having to swop APNs all the time will be a PAIN in the arse, however, it still all works.

I will repost all the phone settings when I get the chance . to help anyone in the future.
