This is what I am getting. Not that flash 15/2 cable modem plan for a local server.

Just wondering if it's just me or network related.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Hmm, I'm also getting pretty poor speeds. Also in Khandallah on cable.

This will tell what speed your TelstraClear connection is running at.

I called the support number and did some speedtests on a number of sites. The slowest was Citylink for some reason while Taurange, Napier got 10Mbs.

Anyway it seemed to be a short time glitch since it went away after a while.

As for school holidays - I am sure my usage is going to go crazy over that period :-(

Be aware that Citylink will always be slower due to how Telstra connects with Citylink  .. Every other one depends on the other ISP load at the time.

Try the two Auckland servers. Citylink is slow due to commercial peering arrangements, or lack thereof.
